My Babies

I have been wanting to dedicate a blog entry to my  children.  A little note to let them no how special they are. They are so wonderful, unique, and worth dedicating an entire website in their name... however, this is a Bumgarner blog, so I will stick with one mere entry!

I have decided to start with the youngest.

Elle Taylor Bumgarner
Born on May 21, 2012 at 2:16 p.m.

What sets her apart: Elle is my social butterfly.
She cuddles and loves people.  She has 8 words at almost 8 months old. She smiles, laughs, and plays most of the day.  She is rarely mad.

What I like most about her: Everything.

Elle is really a great eater, a beautiful girl, a great baby, and a terrible sleeper.  She co-sleeps with us... I know, I know. But, I love it.  We have tried a number of different things, but with the amount of help I receive with my children and the fact she is my last, I don't mind sharing a pillow for a bit longer.

I often find myself looking at Elle marveling at her. I think "Wow, we made you!" I'm not sure why I "marvel" at her wonder. I think it is because she allows me to hold her all day and she is so peaceful, gentle, and kind.

Mommy loves you Elle... You are my "big gull!"

Easton Alexander Bumgarner came into this world at 2:11 p.m. on May 21, 2012. He came first, he was baby A of my twins.

Easton is my boy.  He loves music.  We have a number of songs, I sing to him and he just loves. A few of the songs are "Easton-ton" (sung to Chuggington of Disney), "Who let the Dogs Out - Easton and Mommy," (every morning as we let the dogs out), "I feel better, so much better, thank you mom for taking all the pee-pee away" (Doc McStuffins)... need I go on?

What sets him apart: He has taught me a lot as a mother. My patience has increased, my backbone has become stronger, and I have now seen the other side of the fence. Many metaphors for standing-up for what I think is right and understanding what it is like to be the parent instead of the therapist. Valuable lessons from the smallest Bumgarner.

What I like most about him:  Also everything.  Not a day goes by without an Easton kiss.  You have to work extra hard for those!

Easton, you are my only son. You make Mommy proud.  Keep up the good work and never forget all the good you have already done!

And then there was Ava... Ava Elizabeth Bumgarner, I live in Morganton. At least that's what she says.   Ava was born on July 1, 2009 at 2:26 a.m. She was a big baby and boy was she beautiful.

Ava pretty much walked out of the womb and said "world I am here, are you ready?" She is a fashionista, a bossy girl, and a princess. She is independent, sassy, classy, and not classy.  She wants to be a unicorn when she grows up.  She also lifts her dress over her head and screams, throws pretend tea parties, and loves edamame.

What sets her apart: Besides the green tutu, pink pants, orange shirt, and unicorn helmet.  Everything.  Ava is Ava for sure. She is unique and has known from a very young age "who she is." I admire that.

What I like best about her: Again everything... Well, I really like that I can have adult conversations with her and I love how funny she is.  I adore this child entirely.

Ava you are my unicorn-princess wannabe. My running partner, my passenger in the car, my sous-chef, my friend, my daughter, and my first child.  You are too cool!
